Welcome Back!
Students returning to the University of Utah after a leave of absence can easily re-enroll in classes and continue their academic journey. This webpage provides all of the information you need to know as we welcome you back to our campuses.
Check Your Umail
The Office of the Registrar is here to help. We will send you reminders and helpful resources to your university email address as you plan your return. If you have issues logging into your university email account, contact helpdesk@utah.edu for assistance.
Class Registration
Campus Information Services
Campus Information Services (CIS) is the portal where you will register for classes. Prior to the registration period for the semester of your return, make sure you are able to log on. If you are having trouble accessing CIS, please email helpdesk@utah.edu for assistance.
Plan Your Class Schedule
Review the class schedule online and choose the classes you would like to take. The Schedule Builder tool is a resource that can help you piece together a schedule that works around your routine. Speak with your major advisor or contact the Academic Advising Center if you have any questions.
Know Your Registration Date
Returning students can register for classes on and after their registration appointment date. Look up your registration date and hold classes in your CIS shopping cart as you prepare to enroll.
Make it Official
Finalize the registration process by enrolling in your classes on CIS. Tips for a smooth registration process can be found on the How to Register webpage.
