Late Add Procedures for Registered Students

Course Adjustment Request

After the Add/Drop Deadline for a course (the 14th calendar day for Fall/Spring, the 10th calendar day for Summer) through the last day of the course, the signature of the instructor is required to modify a course that a student is currently enrolled for.

Procedure: The student comes in-person to the Registration Division (Student Services Building, second floor, window 13) to collect the Course Adjustment Request form and instructions to complete the form. After obtaining the required signature, the student must return the form to the Registration Division by the deadline listed on the form.

Petition to Request to Add Classes After the Deadline

After the Add/Drop Deadline for a course (the 14th calendar day for Fall/Spring, the 10th calendar day for Summer) through the census deadline, the signature of the instructor is required to add an additional course to a student’s record.

After the census deadline and through the last day of the course, signatures of the instructor and the department chair are required to add a course. Note: If you have not previously registered for the term, registration for first session and term-length classes is not permitted after the census date.

Procedure: The student comes in-person to the Registration Division (Student Services Building, second floor, window 13) to collect the Petition to Request to Add Classes After the Deadline form and instructions on its completion. The student should then work on obtaining the required signature(s) on the petition form. Once that is completed, the student must return the form to the Registration Division by the deadline listed on the form. A late fee of $50 will be assessed per class added in this manner, which is added directly to the student’s tuition.

The Course Adjustment Request and Petition form are available on the second floor of the Student Services Building, window 13 during regular business hours (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8AM-5PM, TUE 10AM-5PM).
